General Information About the Department
While the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, established within Gazi University with the decision of the Council of Ministers dated 15.05.2006 and numbered 10440, was continuing its establishment works, it was included in Çankırı Karatekin University by changing its name and affiliation in accordance with the law numbered 5662 issued on 17.05.2007. As of January 2024, there are 3 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 6 Assistant Professors, 1 Research Assistant Doctor, and 1 Research Assistant working in our department.
The aims of our department are to ensure that our students know how to solve problems in the field of business, have an analytical and holistic perspective, and adopt strategic thinking as a principle. At the same time, it is also aimed for our students to be able to analyze and interpret what they have learned in the field of business within the company/institution, and to convey their thoughts and solution suggestions for problems in written and oral form. In addition, it is also aimed for our students to gain leadership skills throughout their education life and successfully apply them, to interpret the concepts and ideas they have learned in the field of business on a national and international scale, to make comparative and interdisciplinary analyses and apply them.
Graduation
Students of the Department of Business Administration can graduate if they complete 240 (successful) ECTS during their undergraduate education. Our students registered in the thesis master`s department can graduate by successfully completing 8 courses and their theses. Students of the non-thesis master`s department are entitled to graduate by successfully completing 10 courses and their projects.
Employment
Graduates of the Business Administration Department can find jobs in various public institutions and organizations, especially in Ministries, the Central Bank, the Capital Markets Authority, the Competition Authority, the Public Oversight Accounting and Auditing Standards Authority, and the Chambers of Industry and Commerce. In addition, private sector companies such as service, banking, auditing, foreign trade, logistics, etc. are suitable working environments for our graduates. Our graduates are generally employed in departments such as management, organization, financial planning, marketing, human resources, purchasing, and sales in the above-mentioned organizations. In addition, our graduates can engage in commercial activities with their individual initiatives.
Our students are encouraged to take part in activities to increase both the quality and quantity of their undergraduate achievements in order to compete in dynamic and changing employment markets and to increase their social, economic and cultural knowledge and experience; they are directed to national and international postgraduate programs and in-service training after graduation.
Tuition Fee
There is no tuition fee for undergraduate and graduate business education (except for foreign students).
Education and Training Model
The undergraduate education period of the Business Administration Department is four (4) years, that is, eight (8) semesters. There is no evening education program in the Business Administration Department. In addition to the undergraduate program, there are thesis and non-thesis Master`s programs in the Department of Business Administration affiliated with the Institute of Social Sciences.

There is no mandatory internship for students of the Business Administration Department . However, students who want to do an optional, voluntary internship can take part in internship activities that will contribute to their business life in private and public institutions.

Dormitory Facilities
Students of the Business Administration Department have the opportunity to stay in dormitories belonging to the Credit and Dormitories Institution located in Çankırı Center and in private dormitories.

Scholarship
Students in the Department of Business Administration can apply for scholarships and loans provided by the Credit and Dormitories Institution when they start their undergraduate and graduate education. They can also receive scholarship support from the municipalities and chambers (such as the Chamber of Commerce) where they reside.
Part Time Work
Students enrolled in the Business Administration Department can apply to work part-time in different units of our university starting from the beginning of the academic year. The fees and conditions for part-time work are announced on the website by the Health, Sports and Culture Department at the beginning of each semester.
